Gibson has opened my eyes to my addiction through groups and their helpful staff that are on call for us 24/7! Anyone that feels they have an alcohol or substance abuse problem would also benefit from this program. Thanks for everything!

This place is a great help to my recovery.

I came here as a recovering meth addict my second time. This place is a great help to my recovery. Many times I relapsed from meth, I didn’t care. I got to the point in my life I was selling things, trading things to get my drug of choice. I really got lost. It’s taken my woman that I was in a relationship with for 22 years, and my kids. I still love them and miss them. For the last seven years I’ve dwelled on it—been to prison twice, three different treatments over meth use. I know since I’ve been in Gibson Center for Behavioral Change I’ve finally realized from the groups and the staff members, I can change my life. I’ve pulled away a couple times since I’ve been here, but I’m proud of their effort and time and hard work they do here. They’re some of the most well-spoken bunch of people I’ve ever met in my entire life. I’m still progressing in my treatment, with God as my witness, I’m going to end my addiction to meth use.

I credit my counselor at the Gibson Center for Behavioral Change as the reason I still have my oldest child in my life; without her and the counseling she has provided my child and myself, I have no doubt my child’s life would’ve ended by suicide in 2018. She has been our rock! She has been the unbiased third party my teenager needed to feel safe enough to let it all out. She’s been there to listen, to guide and to help. She’s been there to help an emotionally exhausted mom figure out the next steps. She’s been there to provide resources and referrals when needed. She is just amazing! I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without her the last several years. Because of her, I still have my baby. She’s helped life improve for all of us. I don’t think I could ever put into words how incredibly grateful I am for Gibson. I would recommend to anyone I knew who needed counseling.

This was nothing like what I thought ...

This was nothing like what I thought. The staff here was so helpful from the start to the finish.

It’s been informative with good instructors that have also been through similar things. I was quarantined while in there but they did their best to make everyone comfortable.

I’m very much appreciative for the Gibson Center for Behavioral Change...

I began using the Gibson Center for Behavioral Change services because I had gotten into some trouble and was put on probation. I didn’t want to obey the terms of my probation. I wanted to do what I wanted whenever I wanted. But since I’ve started working with the Gibson Center for Behavioral Change, they have helped me get a good job making good money. They helped me go from a one-bedroom apartment to a two bedroom in a much nicer neighborhood. They offered me a shot that I take every month, and in my eyes, that’s probably the most beneficial thing that I’ve got from it because today I am eight months sober and still going strong. And because of my sobriety and how good I’m doing, I’ve now got a good chance of getting my kids back. That alone makes me want to keep striving for more. I’m very much appreciative for the Gibson Center for Behavioral Change. Without them, I don’t know what I would have done or how far I would have gotten on my own.
